Typography
My ongoing research examines multiscript typographic practices in India, with particular attention to the representation of South Indian scripts and the ways linguistic identity and politics shape contemporary typography and design.
This work, developed from my MA by Research at the University of Reading, investigated Telugu and Tamil book typography in contemporary Indian publishing, and continues with a special focus on Telugu book design and typesetting practices.

Visual culture
This strand of my enquiry explores everyday design practices in India, focusing on local visual forms such as posters, signage, packaging, and graphic practices in public space that operate outside formal design environments.
Outside academia, these observations currently take the form of notes — particularly the newsletter Visual Record on Substack. ↗
