Orugallu to Warangal: Journeys Across Time is a collection of travel stories featuring various locations in and around Warangal, a fast-growing city in south India. Warangal (erstwhile Orugallu) was the capital of the Kakatiya dynasty (12th to 14th century CE) and many remnants of its rich history and heritage still stand.
Conceptualised by the team who worked on HydandSeek, the book works in several ways: a guide for a tourist; memorabilia for the nostalgic; a record of a historic centre; and a snapshot of the city that visitors can carry back with them. The visual language of the book was developed keeping these different aspects in mind. The layout easily accommodates multiple levels of information and images.
